Stock block b16 boost ?
A lot of variables here. Efficiency plays a huge role when you get into high boost. If your turbo is running out of its efficiency range past 22 psi adding more boost may just skyrocket EGT's and blow a sleeve from detonation. If your turbo has more breath you may be able to make more power but I would say you are on the edge in this scenario.
The turbo has no problem going 30+psi, im just wondering how high i can go w/o cracking a sleeve, the motor itself is far from orginal but i still have the stock sleeves std. Bore, i have a block guard though.

Block guards cause more issues than they "fix"
we can't give you any advice till we have a full build sheet for your motor, the kinds of fuel you run, what kind of power you're making now, how much you want to make, etc.
it might not even be possible to make any more power with your current turbo or fuel limitation, so turning up the boost wouldn't serve a purpose. this is why we need details, not just some vague post.

But seriously.. normally a gradual increase in cylinder pressure won't break anything, such as the gradual increase from turbocharging or other forms of forced induction, at least not within reason...
It's the rapid/uncontrolled increases that break things, such as what happens during detonation, knock, etc.

Well e85 (assuming it's actually 85% ethanol which it really isn't due to blending variations) is 105 octane (r+m/2). your 98 octane is simply a Ron or Mon measurement, not our r+m/2 method so technically it's octane is lower.
you can push a Holset hx40 well beyond 22psi but the limit here is your fuel. on your 98 you're probably close to the chemical limit of the fuel.
in order to transition over to e85 you need an e85 fuel pump, e85 compatible fuel line (the stock stuff gets eaten by ethanol) and much larger injectors since e85 requires more fuel for a given power output compared to straight gasoline or the e10 that's common pump gas in America.
