Default Wastegate Vacuum Source?

I dont have a hole on my compressor housing. Right now I have my wastegate vacuum source teed (sp?) off from the FPR which is also teed off to the FMU. Ive been told that the FPR is not a good place to obtain a vacuum source for the wastegate nor should it share it's source.

Where could I get a vacuum source that's appropriate for the WG. Would drilling a hole into the intercooler piping right after the turbo and sticking a nipple in there have the same effect as having a hole in the compressor?

Yes. You can tap it right after the turbo... BUT remember that there may be a
pressure drop after the intercooler.. The pressure before and after may not be
the same, and you might get strange results depending on what devices you
feed from them.

If you are running on the Wastegate spring only, if you want 5psi at the intake manifold, tap it after the intercooler. IF you tap it before, your wastegate will
open when you hit 5psi, but you might only be getting 4psi at the intake manifold.

If you run an EBC, you are going to put more strain on the turbo, since the only time the EBC tells the WG to open up is when the intake manifold sees the desired
boost amount. This is the same as running the wastegate from the intake manifold.

i am going to be running a EBC; the AVC-R more specifically. so if i choose to hookup the wastegate with the brake booster where should i hook up the BC?

in the instruction manual it tells me to hook up the solenoid into the wastegate vacuum line. and it tells me to hook up the pressure sensor with the fpr vacuum line (which already has the FMU on it)

here's the manual http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocu..._savcr_ins.pdf
the diagram im talking about is on page 44

I have mine hooked up to the EVAP canister vacuum source. It the hose on very top of the throttle body. I ditched the canister and and ran a line the BC the to the wastegate. But you could Tee it.
