Default Single cam f22b turbo project build

Hey team, im from the bahamas n i feel in love with honda after owning a b16a engine. now i want to fully build a honda engine. i have a single came vtech accord, wanted to know what all ill need to put in the engine to run about 12-15 psi. Im aiming at this level of pressure/hp just to have enough power to enjoy the car comfortably. So please all info on this project will be apprecated n taken in high consideration. Id want it build to b able to take that 12-15psi of boost n not breaking, blowing or snapping anything.

Installing some aftermarket forged connecting rods and pistons would be an essential part of keeping the engine reliable at those pressures.

Set a hp/torque goal. Not pressure. 15lbs on something t25 based will be VASTLY different than 15lbs on something T3/T4 based.

u can throw in some bisi pistons and rods. also as a safety precaution a set of valves with springs and retainers. u dont want to float a valve.

this is so true.
you need to have a reasonable goal in mind when building for boost. when my car was put together and dyno'd it put down 250hp at the wheels at 10lbs of boost. i was really aiming for 300hp but realistically i am happy with the 250 because she is an auto!

Will the auto stand up to 250 hp? I have heard that 200 is about the limit, at least on a Gen 5.

Wiseco, Arias or CP - Pistons
Carrillo or Pauter - Rods
Ferrea - Valve train
Delta, Web Cams or DDTech - Camshafts

Those are some of the more reliable names in the game.

How quickly do you want it to spool? Room for more down the road? Internal or Externally wastegated? Want to keep A/C or PS? There's WAY too many variables to just say "buy XXXXX for XXXwhp."

A cheap eBaycast manifold is fine(99% of them are externally gated), but I wouldn't skimp on the turbo itself. I'd stay away from the manifold's where the wastegate is off the #1 runner. You can have one built fairly cheap, too.

People have written books on how to select the proper turbo and associated parts. You might want to pick one up and read it before throwing money at the project.
