what up honda tech i have a serious problem i have jrsc on my gsr motor and its not boosting i checked the bypass valve and its working fine i opened the throttle body and looked inside the supercharger and the shafts are working properly i dont noe whats wrong. Can you guys help me out with this problem

 

Is the belt tight? The pulley may also have come loose. Check those things. I had the same problem on my gsr.

If thats not it check your gaskets. What happened exactly? Was it fine then stopped working?

 

i took it to get tuned by chris miller and he said its boosting 1/2 pound and i have a 6 pound pulley . he said wasnt really boosting

 

what gaskets should i check ? the intake manifold gasket that goes from the motor to the manifold or the one that is in the supercharger ?

 

I was boosting at 3 psi and I have the same pulley. The belt became loose and once I tightened it id spike to 7 psi then settle at 6.

 

Both gaskets.

 

chris miller couldnt help you diagnosis the issue while he had the car? i find that kind of odd of a tuner not to do that, but hey everyone is different

 

he couldnt find the problem he was saying that the problem could be internally .

 

but i called jackson racing and they transfered me to another company called mossmotors and he told me what to check and i checked the bypass valve its working fine and the shafts are working properly.

 

the bypass might look like its working
but still sounds like its open
the only things that will cause it are

leaking gaskets, charger to manifold , intake gasket, injector seals

loose belts slipping both ALT and Charger

Bypass not closing
also check the bypass to manifold conection hose for breaks / cracks

check all hose connections to manifold
