Default JRSC problem

im wondering how i can check to see if my alternator tensioner pulley is too tight or not tight enough. is there a easy way to test it out or to figure out if your in the right range for tension?

you should have about a half inch of belt deflection or figure out what you think you should be boosting. if you have a 6 psi pulley you should see 6 to 8psi if you dont try tightening the belt. one you see max boost lossen the belt just a little cause you done want them to tight. If they are to tight you run the risk of trashing the bearings in the nose drive of the charger, alt, and idler pulleys. let me know if you have any more questions. grand6000@aol.com
