TDC Sensor Code
So I've been having problems with my car lately.
The timing feels off and there is very little power below 2300rpms. I had my friend who is almost finished going to school to be a mechanic and we looked at the timing, distributor, I told him he can take the valve cover off if he wanted to look at the cam and make sure there wasn't any wear on it. He did that and said I was right it looked fine to him.
We finally fixed the low rpm power crap with rotating the distributor to the right spot.
This happened before I saw him yesterday probably 3 days ago.
If I gave my car some gas not too much, just enough to go and pass someone the CEL will come on and I jumped the service connector and triple checked the flashes and it is most definitely 08. Could a faulty TDC sensor be my problem with the low power? Or feel like the timing is off? I have a service manual for my car and just wanted to know about the TDC sensor code and if anyone had some advice.
Thanks for the help, to guys at H-T

The TDC sensor has two wires and is located inside the distributor.
Resistance test the TDC sensor from the distributor side of the unplugged distributor connector (spec = 350-700 Ohms) and test the two TDC wires for a short and open from the ECU connector.
