sounds like you may have slipped a tooth on your timing belt. Yank the cover and see if it's in good shape. That's where I'd start...

i think that sensor is inside your distributor if im not mistaken... and you can jump a tooth just by driving... it happens we have "timing belts" not a chain so sometimes they tend to slip especially when old

ohh... dunno but i do think the sensor is in the distributor... if you can find someone that has a GSR distributor try putting it on and seeing if the problem is healed

It's actually popping a code 8 and a code 23..which is knock sensor i believe..could that play a role in the code 8?

does the motor seem to be running properly? The tdc and the cyp sensors are both on the shaft of the distributor for your motor, try a buddies good dist and see idf the prob clears up, if not try an ecu.. if you still have the problem then i would think the sensors are trying to tell you somthing..

BOTH tdc and cyp sensors are made to the shaft of the distributor, while i am not 100% sure you cannot remove them, I have always been told the best thing to do is replace the distributor... give import auto salvage a call he might have what you need and for probably less than 100 bucks...
