Engine needs three things to start: compression, fuel, spark.
In order of ease to check:
#1-Good spark at spark plugs?
#2-Fuel injectors pulsing with good fuel pressure?
#3-compression good and valve timing correct?

Verify spark at the end of the spark plug wire(after removing it from the spark plug) by inserting a long screwdriver into the end and holding the screwdriver close to a good ground. Have somebody crank the engine.
To check for the injector pulse, there is a special electrical tool with a light bulb that flashes if the injectors are getting a proper signal.

This is HUGE and should be known to anyone asking questions about a car that does not start or a car that is having issues. You have to give us information (complete) with what we are working with. Without actually testing things, all we can offer are possible options. And with a car that doesnt start, the possible options of why it doesnt start are very abundant.

All getting fuel at the rail tells us that the pump is working, just wont tell you if its flowing enough.

You can buy a couple tools and figure out the problem, with some help typically less than the cost of a diagnostic. If you want to learn a few things, i would go that route. If you want your car fixed in a timely manner, find the proper automotive shop.

to check if the injectors are firing:
take a long screwdriver and set the end on the injector body. place the handle up to (touching) your ear. have someone turn the key to turn the engine over. There will be an audible "click" every time the injector opens
