Engine won't start
I got my car back from the shop to have my shifting linkage adjusted. Car ran fine home. Came out of the house to leave and car won't start...I'm getting fuel because I can smell it really heavy...it turns over but it seems like there's no ignition. I call up Honda and they said it sounds like a igniter problem. I changed the igniter and no change?? Help plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you're getting fuel, then check for spark at the plug end of the plug wire. If there's no spark there, try it at the coil tower. If you DO have spark there, then either the wires, distributor cap, or rotor is (are) shot. If you DON'T have spark at the coil tower, check your coil. Etc.
Basic ignition troubleshooting.
If the engine won't start, it's missing fuel, spark, or compression. Check them one at a time. It's GOTTA be one of those three.
