Should I hone or bore my cylinders?
I will be putting my car away for a while and tearing the motor out and rebuilding it. Motor is a B18B1, bone stock from what I can tell. The motor was previously boosted, and each cylinder is currently at about 140psi.
I will be putting new rings in it, and I was planning on getting a hone, but then my friend said to bore it out. I have no idea how many miles are on the motor, but it has definitely seen better days. It leaks quite a bit of oil, but doesn't burn any from what I can tell.
I am a college student on a budget, so I am trying to avoid getting new internals, which is why I am avoiding getting the cylinders bored. Any input is appreciated.

What all would I need to get parts wise if I did have to bore it?
And should I be worried about any of the bearings on the crankshaft? The motor sounds pretty solid from what I can tell.

Your friend who said to bore it out knows about as much regarding your motor as we do: nothing. Take the motor to a machine shop, and have them tell you if it needs to be bored, or just honed. As long as it's not warped, you should be able to get away with a good hone job.
If you're ripping apart the bottom end, it's always a good idea to go ahead and replace your rings, bearings, and seals while you're down there. Might as well get it done now while the engine is out, instead of having to pull the motor again when an old wear item finally gives out later. It all comes down to this: spend a little more money now, or a lot more money later.
