Default 97 del sol si/d16y8. check engine light.

So I installed a new radio and drove my car the next day to work... after connecting my battery back on. Everything was fine. The car sat for 2 days, then I started it up and an engine light comes on. I never had an engine light come on before. car starts up fine, drives fine, no idling issues. Nada. Did I do something? I never had this happen to me before o: cat has been changed to brand new one in january as well as o2 sensor.

You can always go to autozone and get it checked for free

If you don't have an OBD2 Code Reader, this trick will need only a paperclip/jumper wire:

So I made a video, can anyone decipher this? My coworker said I might need to clean my IACV. So I told him okay, I will, but I don't want to end up doing it, then clearing the code and have it not be the exact problem, although I noticed once I started car, the idle shot up, then went back to normal.

72, 74. Random misfires in cylinders 2 and 4.

When was the last time you replaced your plugs, wires, cap, and rotor? Reset the ECU and start the car again - does either code come back?

Prior owner got a new distributor put in last year, I have paperwork for that. He also got new wires and plugs for the car, but, on june/july I decided to just replace the spark plugs for the hell of it. Car CEL never came on, car was always garaged if not used. Moved into my moms and now car sits outside and the area she lives in is very cold, we're just surrounded by hills, orchards, irrigation... car sat for the 2 days I was off from work, started it up to go to work and CEL came on. Car doesn't drive crazy, car drives normal, car starts right up with just one click, but just the thought of the CEL being on irks me.

I can reset the ecu and see what happens tomorrow. Thanks.

Since they're random misfire codes, they'll stay stored even if the problem never was really a problem. Sometimes it happens. The reset should be all you need to clear the codes - if the car is driving normally, they shouldn't come back.
