Default Broken wastegate bolt in cast iron manifold, fubar'ed?

What a downer.. If i can't get this mother ****er out, no dyno tune for me tomorrow >< I've already inquiried about another turbo manifold on craigslist incase this fails.

I thought about putting something in the hole, and putting loctite in there, let it set, then try to screw it out. There is no access from the bottom of the bolt hole.

Any help appreciated!

Inb4 get a better manifold, I know, I know, I know!! I regret not using anti seize, and reusing shitty bolts ><

you need to center drill it and then get a ez-out or a reverse drill might cetch it and pull it out,

Just drill it out and use a longer bolt with a nut to fit the wastegate. I've had the exact same thing happen to me in the past and this is what I did.

Edit, that's if you can't do the above.

Try a left handed drill bit

^^ exactly what I was going to say.. pb blaster is the **** for stubborn bolts.. if you don't have a drill take it to a machine shop should be like a 20 dollar job.

Just block off the wastegate hole and take it to the dyno

since the wastegate flange is cast into the top of the manifold, this won't work... unless you want a nut sitting inside a manifold runner, just waiting to vibrate loose and grenade a turbine wheel

Yeah, your right lol. I can see the picture property now. I have a mini ram so you can picture how it worked for me.

I thought it was one of those eBay stainless manifolds...

wow hah this happened to me not to long ago, about 100 miles from home. This is the only reason i dislike this manifold. That bolt will always be snapping off. It is in direct path of the exhaust.

its only gonna break if you don't use anti-seize, since the bolt will work harden to the threads.
