Ok so im getting my exhaust made Saturday at the shop, ive been ready forms EVERYWHERE on the location of this Wide band, but nothing that seems like what im looking for.

So the questions is WHERE should i get my wideband put on my exhaust?

Info on the car its a b17, running a turbo. So should it be on the downpipe coming off the turbo or just a little further back like right after the oil pan or what?

 

most say at least 18" from the turbo.

 

This is the rule of thumb. Also try to keep the sensor perpendicular to the exhaust flow and as close to vertical as possible. Within around 30* or less, otherwise moisture will ruin the sensor.

I have mine where the stock o2 would be and the stock o2 about 4in behind it

 

I always liked them in the dowsnpipe, under the car right after(behind) the oil pan, if you put it too close you burn the sensors up.

 

Ya I've had this happen to me. Back in like '05 I had an ls turbo and through all my noobness I put the sensor about 10" from the turbo. I left my house in ny for a friends house 2 hours away in jersey. I barely got over the border maybe 75 miles and the sensor started reading erroneously. Good thing the bosch sensors were only like 40 bucks back then

 

yeah the sensors arn't to bad to buy its the gauges, Im running an AEM, getting it installed Tommorrow, not gonna be running any O2 sensors though
