Default Help! 92 cx pass. pwr window blows fuse

I just got done installing the door harness and power window harness from a 94ex coupe in my 92 cx hatch. I've had the driver side power window working for a few months no problem and now I hooked up the passenger side and it never gets power just blows the right power window motor fuse (20a) what should I do? :-/ I jumped the regulator to my battery so at least my window is up! Any help or info would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Sounds like a bad switch that has a short.

Only the Blu/Blk wire terminal in the switch connector should have voltage. What other terminal (wire color) has voltage?

does it pop when you hook the switches up or when you try to roll the window up/down?

Are the power door harnesses from a coupe or a sedan? Are they USDM or JDM? When mine did this it was because I had forgot to repin the RHD drivers door harness for LHD and when ever I turned the key on, it would blow the passenger side door fuse.

You can click on my LHD doors link in my signature to verify your wires are in the correct slots on the connector, check wiring order from the back(wire side) of the connector

Check for continuity to ground on your power wire, try breaking the system up into sections by disconnecting connectors

Basically, the short must be in the switch or the switch connector. That's about the only explanation.

Window harnesses and switches from lhd coupe into lhd hatch. Do you have a pin diagram of the window door connectors and switches?

If you are convinced that the passenger window switch is fine, then the passenger window switch connector must be the culprit. That's about it.

Did you verify that the master window switch is pinned correctly? Also are the door harness to body connectors pinned correctly? Nothing switched? Did you check for voltage and continuity on both your wiring and the switches according to the FSM?

Nothing on the drivers switch could cause the short? I tryed reversing the polarity but that didn't change anything electrical is frustrating! Thanks for the pinout

Did you test each pin in the switch connector for voltage to body ground (see post #7)?
