Default Black Smoke????

Have you guys ever seen black smoke come out of the exhaust on a turbo car??

most of the time that means its running rich.

I think this guys wideband is ****! I will change it in the am! Just never really seen it this dark! Then again its coming through the hood!

^x2 yeah not unusual to see black smoke from a turbo car thats tuned a lil rich, its the white or blue smoke u need to worry about.

Also your wideband could be reading lean depending on your 02 sensor placement with such a short up pipe.

You shouldn't use or trust a customers wideband for tuning. Doesn't matter what they say about it, use your own.

Get an otoscope, one of these can save you a whole lot of hassle. Tune it safe with the wideband, verify the plugs with the otoscope, then start cranking on it. The plugs tell a lot, I normally go threw 2-4 boxes of plugs per tune.
