JDM T2T4 tranny
When I got my JDM H22 back in like '03, I got it with the LSD they sent me this tranny. I just realized its an Accord SiR-T tranny from a 98-00.
My question is, how different are the internals on the T2T4 from something I can get here? If I ever have to replace synchros or gears, am I going to have a hard time finding parts?
If so, where would I even look for parts?

From what I was told, the T2T4 ratios are the same as the 97-01 Prelude tranny; so I assume they're the same or very similar?
I'm currently running a JDM T2T4 LSD trans on my JDM H22A too.

So it might seem that we could use the sychros and gears from the 97-01 if we ever have grinding?
I'm starting to ask these questions because I'm in the process of building a 400+ hp setup and want to know what my options are if I have trouble with my tranny.
Better to ask before I run into the issue than later ...

They're not the same, this site though has many parts for just about any Honda trans, you can even get the part # from there and see if it's available from the dealers here as many transmissions will share the same synchro sets.

I ran all the part #'s they gave me in a email for my T2W4 and found that it uses sleeve sets from a couple of different transmissions. Vinuneuro told be a while back that Pirate McFred ordered from them I assume for JDM trans parts with success.

The T2T4 uses the same bearings, seals, synchros, and sleeves as the USDM 97-01 M2Y4 Prelude base model. The gears however are a different ratio so you may run into problems finding them.

Infact when I was buying an F20B to put into my Prelude, I skipped the tranny because the gearing was the same. I saw no need to pay $1000 for an LSD.
T2T4 = M2Y4 with LSD.
T2W4 - that has shorter gears with LSD.

Yeah...about that.

My M2Y4 went out, and the local importer has an M2S4 which they claimed was from a JDM 5G, which I didn't believe. low and behold as it says in this chart they were telling the truth, but it still has the same gearing as the 4G USDM H23A1, so I passed.

^^^ Good info! According to this chart, only 5th gear has a different ratio on the T2T4 and M2Y4. I have the tooth count for each gear in my notes from the last T2T4 that I built. I will look it up and post it for reference.
T2T4: C/S - 46/45/39/30/26 M/S - 14/23/29/29/33
M2Y4: C/S - 46/45/39/30/26 M/S - 14/23/29/29/32
1-4 are the same but if you ever need to replace the 5th gear you can use the USDM M2Y4 5th gears as a set (both C/S and M/S). Even though both transmissions use a 26T C/S 5th, the gears are different due to the pitch angle of the teeth.
Hope this helps - good luck!

I just hope I don't have to do much work on it this year, I would like to get through the first season on the turbo motor without destroying a tranny ... lol ... I know its not likely, but I'm trying to be an optimist here
Hey this doesn’t have to do with the conversion kit however, I noticed the date from this year and figured I’d try my luck. do you or anyone know where I can find the bolts that go through the tranny holes and thread into the h22a block? I have checked hondaautomotiveparts.com and I can’t find them but found other hardware I have been looking for. I need the bolts to bolt my block to my engine stand. I bought a ek coupe and a bare block and head I have started from nothing and have all internal parts for the build but I’m currently held up by these bolts. I have a helms manual and can’t seem to find the thread pitch or anything in there. And I have checked online and can’t find what I need. Thanks.
