So i bought a 97 prelude and dude said he replaced the whole ignition lock assembley but the car still wouldnt start. So i bought a battery and new ignition switch and tried it but it didnt even crank or anything but the green key light is on the dash.

That "green key light" is signaling that the immobilizer is active which is likely what is preventing the car from starting.

It's possible to bypass the immobilizer.

Well you want a more secure connection than just twisting them together. I would recommend soldering or at least a crimp connector. To test if it works for you, you could just de-pin the two wires and tape or otherwise hold them together temporarily.

That's the equivalent of killing a mouse with a cannon. This guy clearly just bought the car, doesn't know much and just wants to get it going. Chipped ECU will open the door to a lot more issues.
