Default Help with HKS SSQ BOV?

I've just finishd installing the drag gen 3 kit on my b16a2, everthing seems fine yet, except a little oil leak from my oil return which is no problem, however, i'm not sure if my BOV is opening/working as it doesnt make any noise at all when revved high at standstill, i still havent took it for a test drive yet as my bumper needs some mods. My friend thinks that once i drive it aorund and allow it to boost with the pressure the BOV should start working? is that true or what?

The vacum source for it is sorted as i've tee'd it to the bypass valves, any ideas please???

because there isn't much load on the engine it won't build as much boost as driving....i think that's why...

drive the car around and i'm sure you'll hear it

Thanx for that, i'd always thought it should work once i drive it around. As i'm in the UK not may people turbocharge hondas, so it's my first time, so lets see what happens this week.

Yah you should hear a little noise when you are reving but when you drive is when you will hear the most noise of the BOV. Hook up a vaccum line onto it strait from the manifold as short as possible and put a one way valve on it, it will make the HKS sound bad ***, not many people know that is the way the BOV is made to be installed. I dont know if you can do that with any other kind of BOV tho.

depends on how big the turbo is and how much load is required to build some sort of boost to push out of the BOV. T3/T04 will not build boost at idle rev. Just floor it in 2nd gear and you will hear that hks ssq. Make sure to hook it up to its own independent vacume line for the bov. If not it will flutter and not function to its fullest ability.
