Suddenly terrible mileage
Honda changed my timing belt and water pump. Also, my positive cable was gone so got that replaced ($700!!!). Now I went from 32 city and 40 highway to 30 highway and 22 city!!! Just all of a sudden!!
What do you guys think might be the reason? They screwed up something?

Sounds like it. Does the car run different? Is it sluggish or lack the power it had prior to the work being done?
Any update to this? Have you checked the timing? I'm wondering if they installed the belt a tooth-off or something. Who did the work?
A tune-up wouldn't hurt, but if that were the only cause it wouldn't have happened so abruptly, and right after a timing belt change.
Has the MIL (check engine light) come on?
Actually, that's about average. I keep my car well-maintained and get about 38mpg. (mostly highway driving)

I must be doing something right then because I average 45-50 mpg, maybe it's that good Canadian gas I use
Dunno, bud. The ratings are less than that. http://www.honda.com/newsandviews/ar...id=20070606494
It's at the bottom.
Must be a Canadian thing.

I'm getting another read on the mileage before I go in. Also, my maintenance required light is on. But I think that'll be fixed by an oil change. Its been 4500 miles since the last one. (Didn't realize the people at honda put 5000 miles between every oil change)
did an oil change. that didn't really fix the maintenance required light.
the technician broke a bolt on the top (I caught it while trying to figure out where a clicking sound was coming from). Left the car there to be fixed. He'll have to drill the bolt out. Since they insisted that it must be the same technician who fixes it and he wasn't there today, I forced them to give me a rental :D.
they are also gonna do an alignment. Lets see if it fixes the strong jerk problem

It has to be reset. You can do that yourself. Click this link from the FAQ's ..
