Default Knock Sensor Problem

I just got a 2000 civic EX. The engine was bad so I rebuilt it, but when I was taking it apart I noticed that the plastic part of the knock sensor was hanging with the harness. Ok, so now I have a knock sensor broken in half. Anyway I finished the engine it runs smoothly, but the only thing is that obviously I have the knock sensor circuit code and I think that my PCM is retarding my timing cause of it.
Is there's anyway to cancel that sensor or bypass it. They want around $135 for it dam!!!

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

You can get a P28. I got a sensor myself for $100, if that helps.

I think getting the P28 to work would be too much trouble; his car is OBD2.

^Not with a jumper. And if he's boosting down the road, he already has it! =D

1. Boost is not mentioned in the original post.
2. Were boost an option, the P28 doesn't help anyway.
3. The cost of a jumper and a P28 would exceed the cost of a replacement sensor.

It's simple... find a replacement knock sensor.

1. Notice I said IF.
2. What do you mean? It's the perfect ECU to chip and boost with and it DOESN'T LOOK FOR A KNOCK SENSOR.
3. Maybe he means that $135 is too much for a knock sensor, you don't know how much more he has.
