I have the same question.

Every once in a while I get a very noticeable hestitation issue. It will all of the sudden happen. If I turn the car off, get back into it, it runs fine.

Any ideas??

I was looking at the knock sensor a few days ago. I am not sure if it is loose or not. I am going to tighten it up to make sure it is fine. Any precautions before I do this?

Thanks,

Andy

yea someone asked this just the other day - if your knock sensor throws a CEL due to knocking - pinging, then your ecu will pull timing to protect the engine, which will affect performance. if you don't want to lose any performance but DON't want a knock sensor you have to get a p28 ecu w/hondata - which is gonna be more costly then just replacing the knock sensor... In my opinion - just replace the KS... atleast you'll know it will be good again for a while - and they do actually serve a purpose you know.... to protect your engine.

I forgot to mention that when it throws a CEL, the code is 22, which is the oil pressure sensor. Not sure why that would affect perfomance.

It's right above the oil filter. It's not in the best spot, I had to replace mine once because I broke it taking the IM off.

by timing Im assuming you mean the ignition timing right? If you just advance the timing yourself, and then the KS code throws and retards it, will it retard it by a set number of degrees (i.e -3 degrees) or to a set value? The reason why i ask is I have a JDM f22b, w/ h23 ecu, so of course 5 min into driving, KS bullshit comes into play.

SO i was curious if I advanced the timing (The appropriate amount) would it go back to a stock value, or a preset map value? Thx... not sure if that made sense, but I know it did in my head
