Default What d16z6 parts to scrap?

Hey guys, I ask this question because I don't have enough mechanical knowledge on this subject.

My current car I'm driving is a obd2 Jdm D15B (non vtec)

A little background on spare car.
My spare car 94ej1 has not been running due to a transmission issue. Transmission is also bad due to input shaft bearing. Before being parked the engine was leaking and burning oil due to bad rings and gaskets probably. Question is, is there anything off this motor I can spare and use on my current car? Was thinking of just using the head but I don't know if that's good, due to it's condition? Was thinking of mini-me. This d16z6 motor I'm going to be throwing out so might as well ask HT

Thanks guys!

well IF its just bad rings then yes you can reuse the head. since your just burning oil then the whole motor is still good! you just need either new rings or valve seal guides.

My friend also suggested a rebuild. But I don't know if it's more trouble than it's worth?
A new obd1 D15Bvtec or ZC is around $800.00 where I live motor + transmission. Do you think it's worth a rebuild? Time is not a problem as I already have a car. Not sure

where do you live? if i was spending 800 id buy a complete ls motor. a rebuild kit should be around 250 or so. then do most of the work your self. prob end up spending 300 total after buy misc parts and tools.
