Default Catchcan/breather information giving me a headache

I've been reasearching tons of breather/catchcan setup threads and there seems to be way too different and comnfilicting information. I also found that most of the threads are 5 years old.

So - for a N/A b18c5 what is recommended? I am looking at the B R catchcan. It runs 2 lines from welded on bungs from the front of the valve cover to a vented catchcan. Then there is 1 line going from the bottom of the catchcan to the OEM plug on the back of the block for drain back.

-Will this work properly?
-Is there any vacuum needed for the oil to drain back into the crankcase?
-Do I block off the OEM valve cover plug?

Considering there are not direct ports on the front or rear of the valve cover welded in, most likely not. I do not own an R, but I have the oem nipple shaved off and welded shut, 2 -10an's on the rear of cover, and a drainback to block. My setup promotes a much higher chance of oil getting into the baffled catch can, however, the drain back to the block is the equalizer so the can does not overflow to the point where it would 1, make a mess, and 2, starve the engine from that half a quart of oil that should normally be in it.

None during daily driving. Under hard track conditions oil does collect. It doesnt fill it but there is some there. Nothing unmanagable. I would suggest if a can is filling up to fast the can needs to be raised up in the engine bay to exceed the oil fill line.
