doing a b-series swap

i bought the motor and tranny separately.

when i bought the motor, the seller told me he installed the clutch flywheel etc.. on the car all it needs is the tranny. So I guess the clutch is already aligned

i have bought the tranny, cleaned all the oil on the tranny and drained the fluid. now i just need to know what else i will need to do to put the tranny on right.

i believe i just bolt it on since the clutch/flywheel is already on correct? then just fill in the tranny fluid with geuine hondatranny fluid.

i was told that i need to greese the gears n stuff? i just need a little info on everything i need to do or is it just bolt on and good to go?

 

slide it on put axles in and fill.

 

Make sure you put the throw out bearing on the clutch fork before you put the trans on. Make sure you have both aligning dowel pins in either the engine or trans or a combo (one in each) so that the trans is lined up correctly & properly centered. Yes put the axles in THEN fill the fluid until it runs out the fill hole. The rest is just bolting parts on.
I would recommend cleaning the input shaft splines and applying a very small amount of grease to them. Also clean the shaft that the throw out bearing slides on, and lube the pivot points of the clutch release fork (socket where slave cylinder engages, socket where fork pivots, points of fork that contact throw out bearing). Lastly, while you have trans out of the car, check the axle seals for any obvious damage and replace if needed (would really suck to put it all together to find a seal leaking afterward). Other than that you should be good.
