Icon6 Car doesn't start.. After a whole night of perfect driving.

So last night, I go for a drive and whatnot. Everything seems perfect, no weird idle, no weird noises, nice stable powerband on my fresh GSR, only about 4,500 miles since the FULL and I mean, FULL rebuild. Come home, turn off my car and go to sleep.

Fast forward to the next morning, I go to my car to try and start it. It won't start. WTF MAN?! It cranks, it turns, I got power from the battery and I have a half tank of gas. I check my fuses; fuel pump, ignition. Not blown.. Hm. I check for SPARK, no spark. ****! Stupid dizzy, I go get it replaced with a brand new one, install it and VOILA. I got SPARK now. But my car still won't start.

My question is, where do I go from here? The thing is I HEAR my fuel pump pushing pressure when I put the car to ON a.k.a 2nd click in the ignition.

This is my DD and I do not want to just throw money around, God knows I don't got the cash to do that. Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

have you tried spraying a flammable liquid down the throttle body?

if it starts for a few seconds after you do that then you can confirm you dont have fuel and gof rom there

Re-check all your fuses with a test light, main relay and ecu. Primarily #'s 18, 24 and 31. Replaced those even though it's not blown. I had a problem similar to yours. My car would crank but won't start because my fuel pump wasn't priming. So I put a new ecu fuse under the hood and got a new ecu and now it started right up. Runs like crap and throws a code 41 but at least it starts.

Turn the car to the ON position and pull the injector clips and see if your getting battery voltage.

my car had been having this kind of problem. i replaced my ignition module. i had this problem for about 3 months. Except it did it when it got hot, may not be the problem but its worth getting tested.

Do what has been suggested below and then report back.

could be the main relay.. borrow a buddy's relay and test it out.

Found the problem, injector's aren't getting a ground. Checked ground to the ECU, ECU ground is working perfectly. I still haven't sprayed flammable liquid down the IM, but I don't think I need to. Injector clips are getting power, though.

I need to find the ground to the injectors, anybody know where it is between the injectors and ECU ? Getting a short for sure.

Thanks for all the help guys.

and the pic doesnt show it but ylw/blk wire goes to the PGM-FI main relay below it in diagram

Does it matter if it's OBD1 or OBD2? The car is a 96 Civic, OBD2A GSR swapped.

Do this test to make sure you only have a fuel problem.

Each injector gets power on the Yel/Blk wire and the other wire gets ground on the ECU. That's what produces the injector pulse. With the key in ON(II), do you measure battery voltage at A1, A2, A3, and A4 using A23 as ground?

Also check the important A10 and A23 grounds on the ECU. See diagram below.

I checked voltage and ground on the injector clip itself.

Checked ground to the ECU, ECU ground is working perfectly.

I tested A23.

Do this test to make sure you only have a fuel problem.
What do you suggest I use and how much?

Will be doing this next, as soon as I have some time.

Also check the important A10 and A23 grounds on the ECU. See diagram below.
Thanks a lot for the help man, you're extremely helpful!

Regarding test ground at each injector clip, there should be NO ground without the engine cranking and a pulsing ground with the engine cranking. Is that what you found?

You buy a can of starter fluid with instructions at an auto parts store or even Walmart.

Ohh. Alright, I'll check for pulsing at least tomorrow. Thanks again! I'll update as soon as I work on it again.
