Default IAT Sensor???

Ok, so I had to wire in an IAT Sensor from an Obd2 in my Obd1 car because my intake manifold is for an Obd2 didn't wanna drill and tap the intake manifold. Now the IAT Sensor was working perfectly until I took the intercooler pipe off of my car that goes to the throttle body. I unplugged the sensor put the pipe in my passenger seat, fixed a water leak and 30mins later put the pipe back on. Now everytime I drive down the road the car does fine until I let off the gas to let it coast in gear the check engine light pops on, ran the code and it was for the IAT Sensor, so I put another one in the car and it is doing the same thing??? Will do fine if I drive the car around and everything, but when I let off and let it coast while in 5th it just pops on. Anybody know why? I know it is something simple, just getting aggravating.

Check the wiring work you did.

hey sorry I don't have answer for you but I'm about to do the same thing and I was just wondering if you had to swap to an OBD2 plug or if the existing plug hooked right up to the new IAT
