i got code 41 which is the oxygen sensor heater. i'm not sure which sensor it is and where it's located. can any one help me on this?

94' to be exact.

OK so 94 is OBD1. You only have 1 O2 sensor and it's located right before the flex pipe on the header (just behind the oil pan under the car). I would just get a new Bosch sensor for $50-60.

Sorry, I dont have every car to memory, is this a three wire sensor, only buy OEM, get a repair manual from the library and see how to test the heater portion, inspect the harness for chaffing and maybe the heater wire is rubbed through to the chassis or the bracket under the intake manifold. Your car should run fine, it is only meant to heat up the O2 sensor quicker than the exhaust can heat it up so your car can stop polluting sooner.

I bought a new NGK o2 sensor...Replaced my old one and am still throwing this code. But it only happens when I try to "get on" the throttle. So if I am on the interstate and downshift into 4th...This CEL will throw.

Any suggestions?

If the O2 is good, then it'll have to be something else messing up the A/F ratio. Check timing, fuel pressure, etc... You're OBD1 right, so you only have 1 O2 in front of the cat so it's not that.

Yes, Its is OBD1. Timing is set correctly...Just had that all checked out.

O2 sensors are the number one misdiagnosed and O2 sensor codes are the #1 misdirected codes from your ECU. If the engine is too rich or too lean, more than the O2 sensor can direct and it stays rich or lean then your CEL will come on with an O2 code, there is nothing wrong with it. You need a scope and you need to force the O2 sensor rich and lean to prove that it works, if it cannot control fuel delivery then you have a different problem, not enough fuel, weak fuel pump, bad MAP, dirty injectors OR too much fuel, leaky injector, restricted fuel return line, leaky fuel pressure regulator on and on, spend your money an some scandata at a shop instead of throwing parts at it, even the TPS can be bad.
