how often do you do u start your engine.
When I put my cars away for the winter I winterize them. For the race car I drain all the water and fill it with 50/50 anti freeze/water and then start it and get it up to operating temp. I shut it down and put marvel mystery oil in all the cylinders. Put the plugs back in crank it a few times to make sure it coats the cylinders and then spray more in. I drain all the race fuel if it is in the garage i put it up on jack stands and disconnect the battery and remove from the car and bring it inside and put it in the basement on a piece of wood. I do the same for my other cars I just don't drain the fuel. I put stablizer in them.
not the oil...mine sat for 2 months and i drained the oil, put fuel stabilize...when it came time i flushed the motor with 3 quarts of oil then filled it up to level then i started it up again.i didnt think about the water, maybe thats y my water pump is makeing a noise.
i just start mine up at least once a week and let it warm up from idle.
why are guys draining the water? sub zero temps.? i'll be changing the oil after each time i take it to the track. temps in the winter stay around 50's so the track is always open.

we had 2 weeks or more of highs in the 20's and lows in the low teens, my water would have froze and busted something. I run strait water in race cars.
