Default 99 head on a 97 block?

I have a 97 cx hatchback SOHC non-vtec, and I'm in the process of swapping in a vtec head, ecu and y8 intake manifold. My question is this. I know I had to make sure to get a 96-98 ecu since the 99-00 were a little different. Would a 99 head be any different or will it bolt to my block? Both are d-series parts, but will they still fit right?
Thanks a ton,
Nick
