Post B16 Turbo Qustions

Ok, I have a b16 and was wondering, how much boost I can put on the stock internal motor? I am building an LS/Vtec for turbo on the side, but just wanted to mess with the b16 until I get the LSV finished. Now the HP goals that I am looking to get from this are 280whp, if able to. I have a friend who has a D16 completely stock motor pushing 6psi and made 234whp and 180ft/lbs tq.

The specs on my turbo are XSpower T04E .57 trim, and i'm going to be using a 38mm wastegate for now.

I know it's mostly in the tune, but just trying to figure out, what other ppl have been putting down on there b16's with stock internals and everything.

there are so many of these threads and questions. .. sick of it. you can make alot with stock internals... get a solid tune and you will be fine. case closed..people need to learn to search and read up. instead of just asking worthless questions. were here to help. not answer the same questions from different people everyday.

I tell you what, I did search there buddy, go type in stock b16 turbo and see what comes up, I did my searching for the past week and a half on my LS/Vtec turbo build that I am doing and tried to search a stock b16 turbo too. There isn't any since in you coming in here being a jerk over my thread, now if you are just going to be upset about it don't answer anything in my thread at all. I'm not a noob, I know to do my searching before asking questions.

to you other guys who were nice enough to actually put something good down, how long have you been running your motors?? And are they completely stock with just some upgraded injectors? I'm not really looking to have to run the b16 with the turbo long, because after taxes, i'll be able to finish my build, but I still don't wanna get a good tune on it and then it blow. I absolutely understand that tuning is most part of it, there is a tuning shop right up the road from me, so i'll definately be getting it tuned.

Yes. completely stock for years. Yes, with upgraded injectors. Yes, with an upgraded fuel pump. Yes, they can be driven everyday. Yes, Hondata/EcTune/Neptune/Crome Pro [Insert engine management here___]. Yes, you can make 280whp. No, many of us don't trust XS power turbos, No, you don't need a fuel rail, No, we can't guess what you'll make.. and the list goes on and on.

We know you've searched, but you have to be a little creative and not expect the first hit. I think there's even a B16 Turbo 50 page thread on here now for the EF guys. you'd have a better shot at using Honda-tech in Google to get a lot of your B16 turbo questions answered. The one on Internet brands leave a lot to be desired unfortunately. I'm sure you know how this game works after over 1100 posts.

Good luck to you, sir.

Nobody wants to let anyone ask a question round here. I bet every question asked around here has been asked before, in that case there would be no need for people to respond. Then this entire site should be a search button and not a forum. Let people ask questions and let others respond. If you have seen the same question 9,000x times, then why do u look at it and then wasting your time telling people theres a search button. OMG theres a ****ing search button...thanks for informing me that the button that says "search" might do that?

BTW my b16 has been run for 2 years and about 22k miles at 11psi with upgraded injectors ID 1000cc and stock fuel pump and fuel rail

Marecco, I see that your b16 stock has put some good numbers. Did you upgrade your injectors? Also how long has your b16 been boosted at 15psi?

It has 750's in it now. And has only been at 15 for a few weeks. It was making 320whp with 580's at like 13lbs for 9 months or so. It was a daily during that time too.

Perhaps the way the responses are seem to be rude. But one must make a reasonable effort to look around through other means to see if this question has been asked before PRIOR to creating an entire thread for it. People are not telling the OP to just "search", because we know that the IB search engine fails horribly. What many ARE suggesting is that he go outside of the IB search and try it from a different perspective to find the answer. I don't consider that wasting time. I consider that "teaching to fish" as opposed to just giving one.
