hey guys i was just wondering when you jack your car up, where to you place your jack stands? im using a floor jack and its impossible to squeeze the floor jack and jack stand on the standard jack spots on the civic. thanks

 

I usually place mine on the corners of the front or rear crossmembers

 

on the pinch point right after the front wheels, and right before the rear wheels.

I place the jack under the tow hook in the rear and under the subframe in the front. idk if its the safest, or the "proper" way, but it gets my car in air

 

he's asking about jack stands... but that is where i put the jack as well going from front to back.

I put the jack stands where they say in the service manual. Heres a pic dif gen but they say the same spot for all the generations

Use the floor jack on something like a tow hook, to lift the car. Then put the jack stands on the pinch welds to hold it there.

 

Jack the car up, then pull the jack out and put the stand in its place.. But you got to be really really fast.
