Default Jacking Problems

My car is lowered and I cant slide a heavy duty jack under the car so I have to place the stock jack under the jack point and get it up a inch or two.. where can I place the heavy duty jack so I can get the car up higher and then use the jack stands on the jack points

Drive your car up onto a couple of 2x6's to raise it enough to get your big hydrulic jack under it.

The stands go right behind the front wheels when jacking up the front, in front of the rear wheels when jacking up the rear. There are bars under the body to show the points.

well from the back i usually put a 2 X 4 on the top my my jack and jack the back up from the LCA?? probly not, dont know exactly what its called, but i assume its what the LCA is connected to...i would like to call it the "subframe" i guess...anyway, i jack it up from there and then put my jackstands on the stock side lift points, as for the front, i havent put the front on jackstands yet, but i would think it would be similar

I jack the car up by the tow points in the very front. I use a 2x4 block and I can jack up high enough to get jackstands under the front jack points. I've never had a need to raise it any higher than one notch on my jackstands.

I had the same problem and rarely had some 2x4 or 2x6's

I modified my Craftsman "high lift" SUV jack to sit lower. I removed the wheels and replaced them with high-grade washers (stacked together). I do not have access to a machine shop to cut me new wheels nor did I want to drill new holes to situate the axle higher.

It lowered the front of the jack about 1/2 an inch... so if that's all you need to clear your car, try the above.
