Default EG- Auto to manual Converted. Brake Pedal Help!

I have a 93 DX. Just did a auto to manual swap. Used Del Sol manual pedals. but the problem is the brake pedal doesnt touch the brake light button/ stopper? Brake light stays on an drained battery...Any input?

x2 If its a bigger gap you could even bend the switch bracket a little closer to the pedals.

There is a big *** gap there. There isnt enough adjustment there to make it. I could bend it, but the thing is the construction of the assembly is pretty rigid. There are bends on either side of the sensor that would kind of prevent it from bending.

OK, so here is my solution to this issue. You will need to fab up a sort of "extension" for the switch. Use like some round stock plastic or something of that sort. You just want to make sure you still leave freedom of movement for the switch but extend the contact surface enough so it will hit when the brakes are released. Be sure to use a really good adhesive for attaching the extension to the switch. A two part epoxy would work alright but my best suggestion would be to use PVC cement. You can get it from home depot and its used for securing joints in PVC plumbing. It forms more of a molecular bond by slightly "disolving" the plastic surfaces into the cement.

It may be making a difference/causing your issue.

46500-SR3-L10 - DelSol Brake Pedal
46500-SR3-A10 - 92-95 Civic Brake Pedal

Now here is the question I have for you. Did you just replace the pedal off your car with the pedal from the DelSol? Or did you also take the pedal bracket from the DelSol as well? The bracket I'm talking about is #28 below.

Because those are also different. If you are using the DelSol pedal on the Civic bracket that might be the problem. Try finding/getting the DelSol bracket or find a civic pedal and go from there.

Also you have a DX, so no cruise... Did you use the brake switch from the DX or the matching one from the DelSol? They are different as well but I think it just may be a wiring thing like an extra pin to send a signal to deactivate cruise if it is engaged.

Sorry I'm just throwing thoughts out there as to what it might be in hopes that I think of something that hasn't crossed your mind and we fix this problem for ya.

Hmm... I think the pedals i have looks like it didnt have cruise control.. So i dunno.

Im using everything from the delsol. Clutch, brake, gas pedal bracket, plugs, bolts, nuts etc. Maybe this info should be put into the Auto to manual swap info.. cause if i had known this i wouldnt have gotten the del sol an gotten the EG stuff.

But thanks for all the info tho

Word.... Yeah I just hope we can figure this out for you. So the brake switch was also from the DelSol as well then?

I've never personally run into this issue but I'm doing my best to help.

Try disconnecting the push rod for the booster from the pedal assembly... Just to see if the pedal contacts the brake swithc properly then. Maybe the push rod needs to be adjusted.

This is one of those things where it would be so much easier for me to figure out if I hand hands on it. Too bad you all aren't in SoCal, I'm always down for a little troubleshooting Honda stuff.
