well the year and engine plus auto or manual are needed or else this could go anywhere. how can he drive with the brake on....unless you mean it can idle(run while stationary)

Z6/b7 manifold? Or the y7 manifold?
And that motor in that car on obd1 needs a tune.
But check for a vacuum leak in the brake booster.
Next check the iacv. It may just need a cleaning.

iacv won't do that and no it doesn't need a "'tune'" unless you mean tune up. So it's and obd1 with a what engine the y7 was obd2 only IIRC

Assuming this is really "stock", this would be a d16z6 or d15b7. Not sure where everyone is getting Y7 from....

Does this happen only in Drive? or does it do it in Park and Neutral as well?
Do you hear any hissing coming from the engine?

saw y7 and eg so thought swap. which a y7 on a p06/p28 will run funny.

but now that I see its a 92-95 b7/z6 I got a better undsr standing.
and iacv can causd it because breaks chabfe the load on the motor.
also had a bad cylinder on a car before and when u came to a stop it would die.

I'd test the brake booster and make sure it's not causing a vacuum leak like xile6 said. You def have a leak. Likely internal to the booster.
