Default ecu to distributor problrm

If running and obd2 ecu are you able to use an obd1 dizzy with a dizzy harness. I tried using an obd1 dizzy with obd2 ecu the car wouldnt turn over but yet if I use the obd2 dizzy its starts. Or will this conclude that the problem is the conversion harness for the distributor?

No you have to use an obd2 dizzy with an obd2 ECU. Or use a obd1 dizzy with a obd1 ecu. You can't mix and match as the ECU wires go to different spots pending on which obd it is.
