Default cleaned iacv now have overheating problem

i have 97 gsr turbo i just rebuit the engine and it was running fine besides the idle was jumping around. i took off the iacv to clean it out. the two coolent lines the run to it leaked out all of my coolent. so i put coolent in it now my car overheats. i have my fan on a togle so its running all the time it still heats up. any sugestions please its killen me

you didnt bleed the air out of the cooling system properly. you cant just add coolant and put the cap on.....there is a proper bleeding procedure.

my first response would be, you didn't bleed it either, did something get in the iacv coolant ports or clog it up?

all i did was clean it out with carb spray could that hurt it?

No but you must bleed it let it run with the cap off until the bubbles go away, or your thermostat took a crap!

im waiting for my car to get cool enough to take the rad cap off and make sure its bleed last time i was doing this tho and my car started to get hot just leting it idle

i bleed the coolent and it dosent overheat as bad but it still does slowly if i turn my heater on high it go right to operating temp where it should be

maybe your radiator's shot. your hoses on tight? cap still good? no obstructions in any of the lines?

its been a few weeks and if i take my rad cap off and let it warm up before i drive it. it will not over heat for a while but if i dont do that it overheats right away. i was going to pull out my thermostat but the bolt got strip off so i cant do that. and my car dosent leak any coolent.
