I run a sprung competition stage 5 with 430 hp and love it. No issues daily driving. What is "too much hp"?

get a sprung hub disc, you will be sorry if you do a solid disk, its also very harsh engagement and very tough on transmission parts

Little be known to most people, the engagement is no different. That is a very common mis conception. The harsher engagement is do to the amount of pucks the disc has and that type of material the disc is made of. I have Had countless #'s of both types of disc's sprung and unsprung they engage the same... Now, a twin disc on the other hand thats a whole nother story. They are great

Drivability is severely effected if the car is not intended to drag race every light. For best results, use the sprung clutch. Your leg will thank you for it for months and years to come

The point to a sprung hub clutch disc is to smooth the engagement of the clutch, YES the amount of pucks will also change that but there is a difference bewteen sprung and unsprung, ive had both in the same exact clutch and there is a noticable difference in engagement, but what do i know

if youre going to DD the car and you like to complain about your car, get a unsprung clutch.

but if youre like me and want a smooth engagement, get a sprung disc.

I learned the hard wat wen my stage 4 6 puck unsprung slutch mesed up mi main bearing in the tranny over time. while racing my friends 3.5 maxima, one of the bolts came lose on the flyweel and started hiting the clutch disc so the clutch wouldnt engage. When i took the tranny of then the presure plate. i hand losened 4 bolts on the flywell lmao. and one bolt was grounded down al the way almost. For dailly driving gett sprung clutch. I have exedy oe sprung clutch in and im loving it for dailly driving on a gsr.

thanks guys! i was getting the impression that the spring comes out on a sprung clutch when you start adding more force to it. but everyone seems to be on the same page here, easy clutch= sprung(ok for daily drive) Difficult clutch= unsprung (not daily drive intended) thanks yall!!
