try some big pliers, or put the smallest sized socket thatll fit on the bolt push down as hard as you can and turn

Are you using a six point socket or is it twelve?

Do you have an old 12 point 13mm or a non-metric around that size that you don't care for?
You can sometimes reshape the bolt head by hammering the smaller socket onto it.

try a 6 point first on a half inch extension that hangs up to where you can smack it good with a hammer and fully seat it and make it snug, then ratchet that bitch out. trying to file a bolt into a smaller size will be a pain in the *** and just put shavings in the head.

word... Just hammer the **** out of a smaller socket onto the head of it.. YOU WILL get it.. also, what helps is try tightening back up the other bolts to help get the stress off that one stuck bolt..

this has never failed me..

Snap-on as well as others make special sockets
called "twist sockets" that would probably work for you..

They have a spiral design which grips tighter
as it is turned counter-clockwise.

Snap-on Blue-point TFSY14 is the 14mm one..

88dxcrx is on it! I got a set of those but they were craftsman. It came in a set of 4 or 5 and they were prolly pretty cheap at sears, well i'm assuming that because my aunt got them for me last christmas... Either way a total life saver.
Also there is a thing called a 'gator' and its a socket with a bunch of pins in it that are spring loaded that you can push over a fastener and it will grab it with the pins. I dont think it was that great of a tool, especially after getting the twist sockets, but its at wal-mart and better than nothing...
