Water Valve Bent, ok to Block off?
In one of the many swaps I've had to do in my CRX (I use it as a test car sometimes for engines) I think my water valve on the firewall got bent and I'm losing some coolant. Since the car doesn't really get driven that much I was wondering if it would be ok to just block it off? I'm assuming the valve is there for the heater? and I won't have heat but that wouldn't matter. I would also need to block off the outlet near the thermostat also, right?
It's part number 23 in the picture

I made a mistake on the pic, the part that got bent should be the tube that come out of the grommet on part number 27.
Where on the rear intake would I route it to? Would it be easier to just block off all together?

Look at it this way -- your coolant flows from the engine, through the heater core and then back into the engine. Just take the heater core out of the equation by connecting the outlet from the engine to the inlet.
I think you can block it off if you mean to block of the hose going to the heather core.
Or reroute it.
Either one works.
It woud probably wouldn't take much more time to just replace it though.
