Default If turbo is leaking a bit===hurt engine?

If my turbo ends up leaking a bit of oil, will this hurt my newly rebuilt engine if I have to drive it that way for a while while I buy a new turbo?

you might get some in your intake runners and in your intercooler. so you would have to clean all of that out.

what if the oil started burning in the engine. If it was blowing blue smoke.

err

blue smoke = not good. either
blue smoke would indicate your piston seals are gone to me...but im a turbo newbie.

it can be caused solely by the oil in the turbo. your engine could be fine and you could be blowing tons of smoke if your turbo was screwed.

so if my turbo was infact leaky and I was blowing blue smoke it would not harm my newly rebuilt engine? The only reason I say this is because I am using a turbo that is quite old.
