blue smoke from exhaust, what are the possibilities.??
i got a turbo kit used from someone here on honda-tech.
had the turbo recently rebuilt, as in a week ago.
i put it on, turned it on and it was smoking blue.
i did a compression test, and it came out to 180-180-176-180
i fixed the bogging problem it was the fp, it went a little lower then what it was suppose to be because i turned it down a bit. but now im just so frustrated i dont know waht to do.
possibility the turbo that was rebuilt wasnt done correctly ?? bad seals again ?
maybe i have tooo much oil pressure going to the turbo ??
please help honda-tech.

if the engine was not smoking before chances are it may be the turbo. remove the downpipe and check to see if it looks like oil is going through the turbo.....
it could be a bad re-build turbo or to much oil pressure going through it like you said......

it wasnt smoking before the re-build... and i had the same oil line... it was only leaking from a seal... onto my downpipe. i will dive it for 50 or so miles and see what happens if it continues... then i'll have my answer... but i was just asking if anyone had ways of checking
i will check the downpipe !!! thanks !

checked the downpipe, no oil, i checked the throttle body, no oil. took off the valve cover, and is just oil, not even remotly milkshaky.
bump for ideas...

The only real way to diagnose is, when does it smoke? If it does as your accerlerating from a stop then its most likely bad valve stem seals. Because the vacuum created at idle sucks oil through your valve stem seals then burns it as you take off.
Heres a list of options straight out of my Engine Powerformance book from Bellingham Tech School.
-Large puff of heavy smoke when starting=valve stem seals or guides
-Smoke at idle of decel=valve stem seals or guides
-Under load piston ring wear
Hope this info helps, later.
