Default Breaking up after new turbo replacement!!! HELP

ok so......b16 with t3/t4, fmu, vafcII, 13 lbs. Turbo went out about a year ago, Bought a brand new one off ebay (EXACT SAME if specs are correct), installed, replaced air really old dirty air filter with a new one, went out for test ride and right when boost hits 12 or 13 lbs starts breaking up. went home, changed distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs (28 thousandths). went for another test ride and still is breaking up when boost hits. should it be retuned if the rurbo is the same. new air filter throwing it off. the VAFC doesnt control timing so.............Maybe internal coil or distributor

330's are too small w/o an fmu, get 550's and get a real tune

You say the turbo went out a year ago, has the car been driven since then? If not, might be a good idea to get rid of that old fuel as well..

i am not a proponent of the vafc hack, but if it was working before, theoretically, it still should. but 13 psi on an fmu is asking for issues.

with the options for ems, itd be stupid not to take advantage of atleast a chip.

the car was l fine for a whole year before this. It ran great (a lil rich) but great. I have never had a problem before. AND QUIT saying "get a real tune". I dont have that type of money. what are my other options. is it ignition or what. I really dont want to fork the money for a "real tune" when it ran fine before. This is the first time it has broke up in 2 years

start throwing parts at it then.

what are your afr's exactly when it is doing this?

what plugs are you running? is it infact the old fuel from last year?

people say tune the car or chip it, because there are too many variables, that the afc hack cant handle.

is your engine worth the hack? there is a reason why its called the hack.

Ummm, not to be an *** but I even found out the hard way that you really shouldnt rush a setup just because you dont have the money to get it tuned properly. With the money you spent on the FMU and the VAFC you might have been able to chip your ecu with a free program and had it tuned on a dyno? Also when your hitting 12-13lbs, are you still running a stock map sensor and what octane fuel are you running?

I FIGURED IT OUT. Turned out to be the vacuum line on the wastegate. With the AFC, 330s, FMU, and no tune, she is still a monster.

forgive me as i don't know how to use a VAFC .. but on 13psi and 330cc injectors... highly uncertain as to what a monster means to you... but anything could happen any time. those injectors are probably running up at 90% on full boost... sooner or later those injectors are going to lean and.. *BOOOM*

On top of that, again, i don't know if the VAFC controls the timing either, so that's another variable that can affect hp/tq gains/losses.

Also, he has yet to tell us if he is running a stock map sensor or not.
