Turbo Help
I'm having trouble with my car after installing a t3/t4 turbo onto it. I'm using a fmu with an inline fuel pump and a front mount intercooler. The problem is that the car starts ok and idols ok but when i try to accelerate its sputters and feels like the engine is going to stop. So my thought is that its a fuel problem but I'm not sure.
What else did you change? Still on stock injectors? And when you say T3/T4 are we talking ebay kit or a reputable brand? You'd probably be better off in the FI forum.
What are you using to keep the map sensor from seeing boost since your only running an fmu?
Also have you any clue what your a/f is? or timing? (hopefully your running some kind of retard in the timing and not just stock n/a timing)?
Seems like we need ALOT more information before forming any conclusions... you could have quite a few problems that would need be addressed.

I'm using a 12:1 fmu with the stock injectors and an inline fuel pump and I'm using the missing link piece to hide the boost from the map sensor. I haven't touched the timing though cause I though it was controlled by the computer.
are you getting good vaccum and how much you boost peak off?
is the wastegate properly hooked up?
sounds like the map sensor is seeing boost, what type of missing link is it?

sounds like you've got the bases covered there. what year is your car?
My guess is that you have the FMU lines hooked up backwards. Double check the fuel lines going to/from the FMU and ensure they are in the correct places.
You're using the return line from the rail to feed the FMU, correct?

I'm pretty sure its hooked up right cause that was my guess too but the fmu didn't come with instructions. I have the nipple thats on the side of the fmu going to the FPR and the nipple piece in the dead center of the fmu going to the return line that I removed from the FPR and the vaccum piece on top is spliced into the FPR's vaccum line. This is the missing link I'm using
