If theres cel, check the code. Take it to autozone if you don't have any diagnostic tool.

Something is putting the ECU into limp mode. Do you have a 3bar map sensor or at least a missing link on the stock map sensor.

It would help if we had some details on your setup like

1. Are you still running stock injectors?
2. Are you still running the stock map sensor?
3. How much boost are you running with the stock ecu?
4. What are you using for fuel management if anything?

There should be a second o2 sensor in the cat. I think tha'ts what they were talking about. If it's not there or not working it could cause the problems you described.

I don't think it's an ECU problem. Something is putting the ECU into limp mode to try and save the motor. He has some other issue with it that he needs to have checked.

Just my thoughts. I've been talking to him through the Im's and from what I can figure out that is my thought.

On a side note I have a spare ecu for sale. s

This is interesting. I too have a B16 and a rev limiter of 7k. There are no other issues with the way the car runs.

a) My secondary O2 sensor is not connected, wires got damaged so I un plugged it and I have a CEL because of it.

b) I bought the car with the swap already done and apparently I have an ECU from the integra 1.7EL..I am in Canada.

Question---Is 1 or both of these issues causing the 7k limit?

I believe its the ecu because it had 7k limit when both o2 sensors were hooked up, unless 1 was bad....

x2...vtec will not work if you have some cels. i think the oxygen sensor might be one of those vtec killing cels because my d16z6 has a code for the o2 and vtec wont kick in it either. try replacing that oxygen sensor then try it. i believe thats what your problem might be.

where in the hell do you see this thing is turboed?? why would he need a 3 bar map for a stock b16a2? his posts said absolutely nothing about being turboed, injectors, map sensors, or fuel management. i believe you are confused.
