Turbonetics or Hallman MBC / Manual Boost Controller ??
I can get either one, but I was wondering which one would be better for my setup or which one works better?
My stock WG spring is 5.83 PSI (Tial 38mm - Red Spring) and I would like to up the boost to around 7 or 8 PSI (depends on the tuner)...

At that low of a level I would just tell you to buy a new wastegate spring & call it a day :-P
I have used the hallmans & liked them. The turbonetics stuff works too.

Hallman Pro RX is a pretty good one, especially when you are looking to do up the boost less than 6 psi. The RX comes a ceramic ball bearing for quicker response and with the soft spring, which allows up to around 5-6 psi over the wastegate spring. Also, included is the hard spring which allows ~30+ psi over the spring...

The turbonetics mbc I had was garbage. It needed to be hooked up a certain complicated way using both wastegate ports to even work right.
I have a hallman pro and it works perfectly so far and holds a rock solid 18 pounds

I was thinking about your idea - just getting a little bigger WG spring but then I read on numerous posts on here that would a good boost controller you can increase your boost even if its just a little and avoid boost creep as well...
So do these (reputuable) boost controllers really prevent boost creep as well??

I want to get the Hallman ES but does the Hallman handle low boost increase pretty well? Say if I was at 6 PSI and wanted to go to 8 PSI using that would it work well?
