Ahh...7 ish or 9 ish.
But if your using a boost controller the spring really only limits how low you can go.

BUT on a 7 pound spring wont the spring start to lose boost at like 25 psi...meaning the spring will let the gate open and not hold it close beacuse it's a 7 pound spring or is my theory wrong ?

Re: (radeon)
generally the rule of thumb is that you can boost around twice the amount of the spring if you use a boost controller. Anything more than that, and sometimes even that can cause spiking issues and unstable boost pressures.

What wastegate/boost control setup? Why such a small spring, for low boost in lower gears?

A lot of variables. I pushed a 9.Xlb spring to 35lbs Tuesday with an AEM EMS and GM boost control solenoid

with a 9psi spring my car will make 35psi using manifold pressure to the top of the gates or 40psi (turbo maxed out) with c02 to the top of the gates

Re: max psi on a 9 pound spring (Turbo-charged)
I have a .7bar spring in a V44 tial and couldn't build more then 24psi and it started to fall off using a greddy profec a-spec to 21 at redline. I'm going to stack a small .3 bar spring in there and hopefully will be able to hold 25psi until 9-10k. I guess i could be having other problems but I doubt it is my gt3076r maxing out.

The rule of thumb is more like 3x the amt of the spring not 2x. If you are using C02 then Id say you could go like 5 or 6x the spring depending on what pressure you are running at the tank.

it's 2x for any normal street app

Except I can run 3x no problem, in fact I don't every remember seeing a setup I could not boost 3x more then the spring (on springs under 14psi).
