return line facing foward? where to get barbed fitting?
im replacing my 2.5" downpipe with a 3", and now the new downpipe gets in the way of the return fitting in the oil pan. So now i'm going to have to relocate the fitting closer to the driver side. This is going to make the return line angle slightly towards the front of the car. Is this going to pose a threat?
Also, are B16 oil pans steel or aluminum? Can I get barbed fittings for these at Home Depot or Lowes?
Here's a crappy pic...

You may have a difficult time finding a 45 or 90 degree barbed fitting, but the straight ones are available most anywhere in the plumbing section. Having the drain facing any direction isn't going to be a problem as long as you still have a downward slope.

Not unless it's completely parallel with the ground. I've set up turbos on hf manifold/adapter plate setups that leave the drain just about parallel and the only smoking issue we had was going downhill.
