Default NEED HELP!! oxygen sensor on 99 civic ex

Ok so I have a 99 honda civic ex 1.6 liter engine and the check engine light came on due to a slow response on the primary oxygen sensor. according to my local honda dealership this will cost $511.72...needless to say i really don't want to pay that much. If any of you know how to replace one of these can you help me please, or give me a site that explains how to (preferabily with pictures ) or even where it is located at. thanks

Just get a universal 4-wire oxygen sensor from an automotive store and splice it to the stock O2 sensor plug.

yeah those 02 sensors are pricey. You should pickup a Manual for the car.

go to the auto parts.
they can sell you univeral o2 and OEM plug o2 sensor.
the OEM plug one will cost you a bit more. but is less than $150.
do it yourself. dealer is a rip off

And a soldering iron to splice the wires if the plug doesn't fit.

Universal rear

Piece of cake to do yourself. Put some anti-seize on the threads when reinstalling.
