99 civic ex obd2b, obd2a primary 02
so, 99 civic ex w/ 98 civic ex swap, odb2a o2 sensor has male end, plug on obd2b engine harness is male. parts store wanted 150 for an "obd2b" 02 sensor, i could get an aem wideband for that much so didnt buy that. i did some internet searching and couldnt find much on this, what do? can i just cut the wires and splice to bypass the connectors. parts store guy tried saying theres something "special" about the obd2b 02s oppose to obd2a 02s (i replaced my obd2a one before for much cheaper(60-80? not 150-160$)) appreciate any input

Can you not use the old manifold with the old 02 sensor? If not get an 02 from Rockauto.com or Amazon the denso is around $27.

could you send me the link for amazon, i looked but can only find the sensor that cheap for 98 ex, i need 99 ex
