Default my first 2jz manifold

fun little manifold to make. little more time into it then i wanted (25 hours), but it turned out pretty nice.

welding the wastegate portion was a challenge.

i used 1.5" schedual 10. had to do qute a bit of porting on the head flange to get the runners to match.

is there only one wastegate and its being vented off just one side of the collector on a divided setup?

looks good for only 25 hours. you might want to think about bracing the wg, unless it already is and we can't see it.

thanks.

i didn't weld the inside of the collector. i welded the inside of the collector where it meets the flange, but not up in the collector.

i would, i just don't have a pencil torch to get up in there.

the collector is welded 100% on the outside though. i always end up going back in and porting though.

wastegate is a hks gt2.

i'm not going to be marketing this one, however i'm building one in the next week or two that will be available. the wastegate and collector design on that one are a pain in the *** to make and weld, so i might opt for somthing a little easyer.

that manifold looks awsome; must be a pain to weld up everything. how long did it took you to complete ?

yeah they definitely look smaller. never worked with a 2JZ so I don't know what its purpose is.

How about I just stick them in the 80+ inch snow bank outside my house! We set a record for snowfall this year! And we are supposed to get another 7-14 inches sunday!

reason why 2 and 5 are smaller is because they are a straight shot out of the head. the ports on either side are angle from the outside in and as most of you know when you mitre cut a pipe it will become an oval.

look at a head sometime, makes sense.
